ReelDirector is a new iPhone application that you can combine several clips with, a big change from the native Camera app. There are some transitions also, but what makes a difference is that you can make smaller chunks of filming and join them. I’ll get back with some edited material so stay tuned.

Though I’ve not got my iPhone connected via 3G, I’ve used it already dowloading apps and trying them out using WLAN. Exploring iTunes Store is not making life easy, and finding apps through other channels is far more rewarding. Apps that I’ve installed are mostly productive ones, work-related ones, like TimeSheet. When I enter a meeting, start editing video or doing something else, I tap at an arrow correspondig to that particular project. In the end of the month I got a report and that I like. A lot!
Another app is called CalenGoo, and that views the Google Calendar. Synchronizing the iPhone calendar and Google is not yet implemented. I’m used to Google Calendar, and use it both professionally and personally, and doing it on my iPhone is one step further.
What makes iPhone extraordinary is definitly the first public and worldwide augmented reality-app called Cyclopedia. To make a long story short: when a certain spot (building, city etc) is mentioned in Wikipedia AND geotagged, the iPhone camera will show a link in the camera window. In other words, when I point my iPhone camera out trough the window, I see the camera image (like a digital camera) and orientation in degrees. If I point it to north, a small textbox will superimpose on the camera image and tellin me that the Replot bridge is in that direction 7 miles away. If I click at the box, the app will get the Wikipedia article about the Replot bridge.

Komprimeringen skedde i telefonen vilket gjorde uppladdningen kortvarig.

I stumbled upon a site that I could recommend any teacher seeking for some complement for their lecturs. It holds video clips, both short edits as well as full length and covers 1) economy, 2) environment, 3) politics, 4) science, 5) technology and 6) culture. Every video contains metainfo, and a possibility to download it for listening/watching on a mobile device. You are able to create an account in order to make a playlist.
